Eddie Bowens Farm

Eddie Bowens Farm, established in 1903, is an example of an early 20th-century African-American farm. Mr. Bowens was a deacon and elder of the Sunbury Baptist Church and aside from being a farmer he was also a construction worker, oysterman, and practitioner of root medicine. This site is on the National Register of Historical Places.
