Jointer Creek surrounds Jointer Island west of Jekyll Island. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Coastal Resource Division has the Jointer Creek Oyster Reef Enhancement Project to enhance 0.42 acres of habitat for larval oyster settlement in 2012.
