Laurel Grove Cemetery
Large cemetery managed by the city of Savannah. It consists of two halves, North and South, divided today by 37th Street. The cemetery was built in 1850 on Springfield Plantation as other burial sites around the city reached max capacity. It features remnants of Victorian architecture and was a prominent burial site for African-American families throughout the 1800s and 1900s. This site is on the National Register of Historical Places.
