Liberty Campmeeting Ground (historical)

Liberty camp-meeting ground is located near Fort Stewart in Liberty County, GA. Georgia has an extensive history of camp-meeting, which is an outdoor, continuous religious service. In general, camp-meeting grounds follow three patterns of arrangement: oblong square, horseshoe, and sometimes circular. These camp-meeting grounds served as the center for religious activity for communities.
