Liberty Square (historical)

Liberty Square dates to 1799 and was named to celebrate the freedom and independence gained through the Revolution, honoring the "Sons of Liberty." The original site is now demolished, though a signpost marks its location. It is one of the two lost squares in Savannah. Now, the "Flame of Freedom" is at this site.
