Lyman Hall Elementary School

Lyman Hall Elementary School in Hinesville, GA strives to allow all students to receive a high-quality education, becoming a contributing member in the society. The school is named after Lyman Hall (1724-1790) who was a signer of the US Declaration of Independence, representing Georgia. Hall was a physician, clergyman, statesman, and Georgia’s governor from 1784-1784. Following the Revolution, Hall had his medical practice in Savannah from 1775-1783. He helped establish the University of Georgia in 1785. Hall also sold in plantation, Hall’s Knoll. In 1785 and purchased Shell Bluff Plantation in 1790.
