Midway Cemetery
Midway Cemetery is on the National Register of Historical Place designated by the U.S. Department of Interior. It is located in Midway, GA, and the town is named after the Midway River in England. It is a 2-acre cemetery with stone memorializing fallen soldiers of the Revolutionary War including General James Screven (1738-1778), General Daniel Stewart (1761-1829), Senator John Elliot (1773-1827), and Georgia Governor Nathan Brownson (1742-1796). Midway Cemetery is across from the Midway Church and Society building.
