Obediah Barber Homestead

Built in 1870, as the homestead of Obediah Barber (1825-1909) on northern edge of the Okefenokee Swamp and seven miles south of Waycross. Barber became known as the "King of the Swamp" as he explored much of the area.  This site is on the National Register of Historical Places.
