Saint Augustine Creek (near Talahi Island)

Saint Augustine Creek is a channel between Oatland Island and McQueens Island. The creek was named by early Spanish settlers in reference to Saint Augustine, the first white settlement on the continent. This settlement is in today's Florida and was named for St. Augustine of Hippo (A.D. 354-430).
