Saint Benedict the Moor Church

Organized in 1874 by Benedictine Priests, Saint Benedict the Moor is Georgia's oldest African-American Catholic church. Several historic figures, including Mother Mathilda Taylor Beasley and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, have ties to the church's orphanage and school.
