Saint Ignatius Church

Saint Ignatius Church is on St. Simons Island and offers weekly services in its chapel. The church was originally built for former slaves on the island in 1886, but was rebuilt in 1898 after a hurricane. The building contains a collection of historical pieces, like its bell, which was taken from the WWII Liberty Ship Henry Wynkoop, and its reed organ, which was built circa 1900.
