Saint Joseph's Candler Hospital

Candler Hospital's history traces back to 1804, making it the first hospital established in Georgia. Like St. Joseph's, it originally provided medical services to sailors. It is named after Bishop Warren A. Candler of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
