Saint Luke's Lutheran Church

Saint Luke’s is a Lutheran church in eastern Savannah. Lutheranism is the largest of the Protestant denominations, and arrived to Georgia in 1734 under German baron Philip Georg Friedrich von Reck. In the 1800s, Baptist and Methodist groups had more success setting up churches and recruiting members across the state. However, there are many Lutheran churches from various Lutheran groups across Georgia today.
