Saint Philip Monumental African Methodist Episcopal Church

Established in Savannah in 1865, Saint Phillips proudly refers to itself as "The Mother Church of African Methodism" in Georgia. Since its earliest pastors' involvement in Reconstruction efforts, the church has remained heavily engaged in spiritual and community development as well as Civil Rights advocacy.
