Savannah Female Orphanage (historical)

Site of the now-demolished Wetter House, built in 1822, which throughout its lifetime served as a mansion, headquarters for the Confederate Army, and an orphanage for girls. It was bought and torn down by Chevrolet in 1950. Today, the property lies within the boundaries of the Savannah Civic Center.
