Second African Baptist Church

Historic Baptist church in north Savannah. It is a landmark site for Civil Rights activism and Black leadership; Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. famously delivered a portion of his "I Have a Dream" speech within the church's walls. The church also served a key role in the Civil War and opened doors for women to pursue higher education in the early 1900s.
