Union Carbide Plant Strip (historical)

Pilots conducted rescue operations from this air strip after an explosion at the nearby Thiokol Chemical plant in 1971 killed or injured over 50 workers. The property was later sold to Union Carbide, but its history remains preserved at the Thiokol Memorial Museum.
